National Novel Writing Month has begun.
What is NaNoWriMo? It is a month of craziness for those who chose to participate. It’s 30 days of intense writing. Writers from all around the world try to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days.
Participants begin writing on November 1. The goal is to write a 50,000 word, (approximately 175 page) novel by 11:59:59, November 30.
Because of the limited writing window, the ONLY thing that matters in NaNoWriMo is output. It’s all about quantity, not quality. This approach forces you to lower your expectations, take risks, and write on the fly.
Anyone interested in learning more or participating, please visit their website at http://www.nanowrimo.org/. What have you got to lose? Nothing actually and you might have fun.
